Turbowolf and Catfish join the MEGs

Record industry trade group the BPI  has announced a new list of artists who will benefit from the latest round of grants from the Music Export Growth Scheme, which is backed by UK Trade & Investment and which aims to help UK-based independent labels, publishers and management firms to expand the international reach of their acts: and these are: Catfish And The Bottlemen, Crystal Fighters, Denai Moore, Ephemerals, Kero Kero Bonito, Lower Than Atlantis, Martin Harley, Max McElligot, Moulettes, Petite Noir, The Bohicas, The Twilight Sad and Turbowolf, plus songwriters Greig Watts, Georgie Dennis and Christopher Wortley.

Apply now for UKTI funding!

The third round of applications for funding from the BPI and UKTI's Music Export Growth Scheme has opened . The scheme offers grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 to UK music companies to aid international touring, artist promotion and music projects. The deadline for applications is 16 Jun 2014. Applications will be reviewed by the BPI and UKTI and those successfully shortlisted will be considered by a panel of music industry experts, chaired by John Kennedy OBE.  The panel will draw on the marketing expertise of a number of organisations including the Music Managers Forum (MMF) and the Association of Independent Music (AIM) as well as representatives of independent record labels and BPI.
