End of the Road refute scientology claim

After a claim made on the eFestivals forum, the organisers of the Dorset-based End Of The Road festival have categorically denied any influence by Church Of Scientology. Specific claims included allegations that the financial losses incurred by the festival during it’s early years were covered by individuals affiliated to the church (the organisers say they themselves and friends covered the losses) and that the festival always included a secret roster of Scientologist performers on its bill,– something the organisers again deny, although they confirmed that two of the event’s board of directors are Scientologists. In France the Paris Appeals Court has convicted the Church of serious criminal fraud, fining its bookshop and Celebrity Centre a total of E600,000 (£500,000) and equating the church to a criminal organisation. Two senior scientologists, Alain Rosenberg and head of the Celebrity Centre Sabine Jacquart were each fined E30,000 and given two year suspended prison sentences.
