Farewell Johnny Silvo and Don Cornelius
Johnny Silvo, a stalwart of the UK folk circuit and more recently a resident of Norway, has died aged 75. He leaves behind his wife Berit and their son Patrick. And farewell to Don Cornelius, the creator and original host of long-running American music TV show 'Soul Train'. Don died at his LA home, having seemingly shot himself. He was also 75. Can we also remember David Whitaker, composer, conductor and arranger who worked with Andrew Loog Oldham, the Rolling Stones and Marianne Faithfull amongst others, and Ted Dicks, composer of Right Said Fred and Hole in the Ground and who, like Whitaker, also successfully worked in films and TV, Dicks with the Carry On team amongst others.
