Record industry trade body the BPI is reminding independent music companies that they have one left to apply for grants under the Music Export Growth Scheme, the new UK Trade & Investment-funded initiative launched back in September. The programme is aimed at SME music companies - including labels, publishers and management firms - who are working with artists who have already enjoyed commercial success in the UK, and who are now plotting global expansion. Grants from £5000 to £50,000 are available to fund international marketing campaigns that aim to expand audience and revenues for British artists overseas.
