Jazz legend Dave Brubeck dies aged 91
The jazz legend Dave Brubeck has died a day before his 92nd birthday at a Norwalk hospital in Connecticut. The pianist became a crossover jazz great thanks to his work with his Dave Brubeck Quartet and hits like 'Take Five' and 'Blue Rondo a la Turk'. He was also a civil rights activist, becoming one of the first white musicians to perform at black jazz clubs in he American South in the 1950s. Flowers will be placed on Brubeck's Hollywood Walk of Fame star to mark his passing.
